Govt. To Table Constitution Amendment Bill In HoR

Kathmandu, May 22: The government has decided to present constitution amendment bill at the House of Representatives (HoR) to enforce the newly unveiled political and administrative map of Nepal.

The meeting of Council of Ministers held today at PM’s residency, Baluwatar decided to table a proposal to amend the coat of arms present in schedule-3 of the Constitution as per the territory of Nepal, informed Dr Yuvaraj Khatiwada, spokesperson of the government.

Dr Khatiwada said that constitutional amendment would put the map into effect in all official works of the government.

The new political and administrative map of Nepal includes Kalapani, Lipu Lekh and Limpiyadhura area of western Nepal.
