Kathmandu, April 12: A total of 14 Non-Resident Nepalis living in different nations have died of COVID-19, with over 700 affected by the virus.
As per the data collected by the Non-Resident Nepalis Association (NRNA), eight of them succumbed to the virus in the UK, 5 in the USA and 1 in Saudi Arab.
A Health Committee under the High Level Committee formed under the NRNA chair Kumar Panta, around 675 Nepalis contracted virus, with the US having the highest number (500).
The number of infected Nepalis in the UK stands over 100, Portugal 22, Spain 18, Germany 4, Australia 9, UAI 10, Kuwait 5, Japan 1, Malaysia 1 and Hong Kong 1.
The committee is collecting the data in other countries hit by the coronavirus.
