Nepal Extends Nationwide Lockdown Until June 14

Kathmandu, May 30: The government has decided to extend the nationwide lockdown until June 14.

A Cabinet meeting held at the Prime Minister’s Official Residence in Baluwatar on Saturday evening took the decision to continue the lockdown in view of the rising coronavirus cases.

The lockdown which was first enforced in the country on March 24 was coming to an end on June 2.

As of Saturday evening, the country has witnessed a total of 1,401 COVID-19 cases with seven fatalities.

Likewise, the Cabinet has extended the suspension of domestic and international flights until June 27.
