Rautahat’s 36-Year Old Succumbs To COVID-19, Death Toll Reaches 39

Kathmandu, July 15: The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) has confirmed yet another COVID-19 death in the country.

“A 36-year old COVID-19 patient from Parva Municipality-7, Rautahat district, breathed his last today at 2:30 PM in Narayani Hospital, Birgunj,” informed Dr Jageshwor Gautam, spokesperson of the ministry in the daily press briefing today.

He had returned to Nepal from Banglore, India on July 8. After he suffered from difficulties in breathing, he was admitted to Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in Narayani Hospital, Birgunj on July 13.

He tested positive for COVID-19 on July 15 in Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) test done at Hetauda Laboratory.

With this, the COVID-19 death toll has reached 39 and the total caseload has reached 17,177 including 11,025 cases of recovery.
