11 Succumb To COVID-19, Death Toll Hits 137

Kathmandu, Aug. 21: The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) has confirmed 11 COVID-19 related deaths today. This is the highest COVID-19 related fatality recorded in Nepal in a single day.

A female and 10 males COVID-19 patients from Morang, Parsa, Bara, Saptari, Kathmandu, Sarlahi, Lalitpur, Chitwan, Makwanpur, Dolakha and Pyuthan succumbed to the SARS-CoV-2 infection in the last 24 hours, informed Dr. Jageshwor Gautam, spokesperson of the ministry in the daily press briefing today.

With this, the COVID-19 death toll of Nepal has reached 137.
