With 10 New Fatalities, Nepal’s COVID-19 Death Toll Reaches 600

Kathmandu, Oct. 9: The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) on Friday confirmed 10 COVID-19 related deaths.

A total of 10 persons, nine males and a female, succumbed to the novel coronavirus infection in the last 24 hours, revealed the daily report released by the MoHP today.

Two males aged 29 and 52 of Jhapa, three males aged 46, 52 and 68 of Sunsari, an 87-year-old female and a 71-year-old male of Kathmandu, an 84-year-old male of Lalitpur and two males aged 47 and 84 of Rupandehi, who had tested positive for COVID-19, died while receiving treatment at various health facilities across the nation.

With this, Nepal’s COVID-19 death toll has reached 600 and the death rate is at 0.60 per cent.
