Army Helicopter Rescues Pregnant Woman In Darchula

Darchula, Jan. 23: A pregnant woman has been rescued by a Helicopter of Nepal Army in Darchula district and taken to the Surkhet based hospital. According to the Chief District Officer of Darchula Sharad Kumar Pokharel, 28 year’s old Shobha Bista of Byas Rural Municipality – 5 had heavy bleeding after giving birth at District Hospital Darchula.
Then she was rescued by Nepal Army’s helicopter. Information Officer at the District Hospital Dambar Dutta Bhatta informed that she was referred to the Surkhet based hospital while there was no ICU bed vacant at Dhanghadi. It has been said that under the President’s Women Empowerment Programme rescue has been made by Darchula’s CDO Sharad Kumar Pokharel, Nepal Army and district hospital Darchula jointly.
