Odd-Even Number Traffic Rule To Be Imposed In Kathmandu From Friday Night

Kathmandu, Jan. 20: District administrations of the three districts in the Kathmandu Valley have decided to adopt odd-even number traffic system in the Valley from tomorrow onwards.

The odd-even traffic rule will be applied to both the private and public vehicles.

A meeting of the chief district officers of the three districts took a decision to this effect on Thursday.

Vehicles with odd registration number will allowed to ply on the odd date as per the Nepali calendar and vice versa.

The district administrations took the decision in view of the spiking cases of novel coronavirus infection in the Valley.

Kathmandu district administration office issued a notice, which also includes imposing odd-even number traffic rule from January 21, Friday midnight, until further notice.
