Anti-MCC protestors clash with police

KATHMANDU, Feb 16: The Kathmandu Metropolitan City witnessed another tense day on Wednesday after agitators protesting against the ratification of the US-funded Millenium Challenge Corporation (MCC) compact agreement clashed with the police in the capital.

The protestors have been holding demonstrations near the House of Representatives (HoR) building since early today. The police fired tear gas shells and water cannons to disperse the crowd. The protestors, on the other hand, pelted stones and bricks at the police.
