21 bodies recovered, 10 brought to Pokhara

By Ramesh Paudel, Pokhara, May 30: The bodies of 21 people have been recovered from the Tara Air plane crash site.

The search operation is underway for the body of a person. There were 22 persons including 3 crew members on board the ill-fated aircraft that had gone missing since yesterday morning.

The crash site was spotted today morning.

Baburam Shrestha, major general of the Nepali Army, who has been leading the rescue operation, informed that the bodies of 21 persons have been recovered from the crash site.

Of the recovered bodies, 10 have been brought to Pokhara, and preparations are underway to take them to Kathmandu.

The remaining 11 bodies have been kept at Kobang in Pasang Rural Municipality-2. They will be brought to Pokhara Tuesday.

Meanwhile, a team of 25 personnel of the Armed Police Force No. 33 under the command of inspector Min Bahadur KC has been carrying out a rescue operation at the plane crash site since the team reached the spot at 10:55 today morning.
