Kathmandu, Oct 5: Chairman of the CPN (Maoist Center) Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said that his party will compete all alone with others in the upcoming by-election and the parliamentary election in 2027.
Leader Prachanda said so while addressing an interaction and get together programme organized here today by CPN (Maoist Center) Dolakha-Kathmandu Contact Coordination Committee.
The former Prime Minister said that his party’s identity suffered a lot while competing in election by forming alliances with the CPN (UML) and Nepali Congress (NC) in the past and revealed that the party has initiated preparations for competing all alone with others in the by-election to be held in December and the general election in 2027.
The Chairman of the main opposition party viewed that people’s attraction with the party has increased as the party was forced to step down while working for good governance, social justice and economic prosperity.
He said in many professional and common associations including TAAN the Maoist party has come victorious competing with the alliance of the NC and UML.
“We have to connect the people’s aspiration and attraction to us with our party organization and people’s mobilization so that we can win the election all alone while competing with others.”
As the country suffered heavy losses due to rain-induced disasters, he urged the party rank and file to refrain from and programmes related to greeting exchange on the occasion of festivals such as Dashain and Tihar and instead keep busy in helping people hit hard by the disasters.
Chairman Prachanda said his party would submit a memorandum to the government soon by gathering information and problems related to the recent disasters of floods and landslides and the way forward for solution.
