
Kathmandu, Sept 1: The number of people rescued from the flash flood hit area reached 11,514 while the number of missing is reported to be 3,916.
The number of human casualty in the devastating Bhotekoshi flash flood that occurred on August 26 has reached 1093 as of today evening, according to the national disaster risk reduction and management authority (NDRRMA).
Of the rescued, 253 people are foreign nationals. Of the injured, 168 have been discharged from the hospital.
A total of 21,011 security personnel have been deployed in the search and rescue operations.
Of them number of personnel from Nepali Army is 9,996, from Nepal Police is 7,912 and from Armed Police Force (APF) is 4,203.
