Govt forms property probe panel to investigate public office holders since 2006

Kathmandu, April 15: The government has decided to form property probe panel to investigate property of public office holders, mainly the political officials and high ranking civil servants, since 2006 people’s movement II.

The 5-member ‘Property Investigation Commission’ will be formed under the coordination of former justice of Supreme Court Rajendra Kumar Bhandari, said Sasmit Pokharel, government spokesperson and Minister for Education, Science and Technology; Youths and Sports, after the Cabinet meeting this afternoon.

Former justice duo Chandi Raj Dhakal and Purushottam Parajuli, former Deputy Inspector General of Nepal Police Ganesh KC and Chartered Accountant Prakash Lamsal have been named the member of the probe panel.
