Nepal shuts border with India, China for a week to check virus spread

KATHMANDU, March 22: The government has announced that all types of passenger movement would be suspended through the Nepal-India and Nepal-China border from tomorrow morning to prevent the spread of coroanvirus.

The decision will come into effect from 10 AM tomorrow. A meeting of the Council of Ministers took a decision to this effect today evening, government spokesperson Yuba Raj Khatiwada told a press conference after the meeting.

Khatiwada informed that the meeting decided to set up a fund of Rs 50 million to tackle the spread of the deadly virus.
