Kathmandu, Apr. 6: The meeting of the Council of Ministers held on Monday appointed Maha Prasad Adhikari as the 17th governor of Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB).
The recommendation committee formed in coordination of Finance Minister, Dr. Yubaraj Khatiwada, had recommended Adhikari for the position of governor and Chintamani Siwakoti and Dr. Raj Khanal for deputy governor.
Adhikari was the Chief Executive Officer of Investment Board Nepal.
Having over three decades of experience in the NRB, Adhikari had retired from the position of Deputy Governor of the NRB itself.
