PM Oli Holds Telephone Conversation With His Qatari Counterpart

Kathmandu, April 24: Prime Minister K.P Sharma Oli held telephone conversation with his Qatari counterpart Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani on Thursday evening

According to a press release issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the two Prime Ministers discussed and exchanged views on the efforts being made by their respective governments to stem the spread of COVID-19 and the excellent state of bilateral relations between two nations.

Prime Minister Oli also appreciated effective steps taken by the State of Qatar to contain the spread of the pandemic and thanked the Qatari Government for its support and care provided to the Nepali nationals at this difficult time.

On his part, the Prime Minister of Qatar assured their necessary protection and care without any discrimination and conveyed that they should not be worried about it, according to MoFA.

Prime Minister Oli thanked the Government of State of Qatar for the release of 17 Nepali nationals from different prisons of Qatar today.
