Nepal Issues New Map That Includes Limpiyadhura, Kalapani And Lipulek

Kathmandu, May 18: Nepal government Sunday issued a new map of Nepal which includes Indian encroached territories such as Kalapani, Lipulek, Gunji, Nabi and Limpiyadhura along the all 753 local bodies and administrative units, according to a news report published by Janaastha.com.

A cabinet meeting held Monday endorsed the map prepared by a team led by the director general of Survey Department Nepal Prakash Joshi.

Minister for Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation Padma Aryal had taken the map to the cabinet meeting this evening for the endorsement.

The country has been publishing the national map incorporating the development region, zones and 75 districts since 2032 B.S. when Punya Prasad Oli became the head of the Survey Department.
Two years ago, the government formed following the three-tier polls held in 2017 brought new federal map by demarcating the states but Nepali territories illegally occupied by India were not included in the official map for the long time.
