Kathmandu, May 27: A 56-year-old man from Bungmati of Lalitpur Metropolitan City-22 died of COVID-19 on Wednesday, taking the death toll from the virus to 5 in Nepal.
The deceased was admitted to the KIST Hospital of Lalitpur for the treatment of his liver infection on Monday. His swab was sent to the Teku hospital for the lab test. The hospital report showed he was infected with the coronavirus.
Earlier four persons from Sindhupalchowk, Banke, Gulmi and Bara had succumbed to the virus. Altogether 886 persons had CONVID-19 as of Wednesday.
