12 Succumb To COVID-19, Death Toll Hits 195

Kathmandu, Aug. 28: The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) on Friday confirmed 12 COVID-19 related deaths.

Four females and eight males succumbed to COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, informed Dr. Jageshwor Gautam, spokesperson of the ministry in the daily press briefing today.

Four females, aged 56 and 65 of Morang, 64-year-old of Bhaktapur and 71-year-old of Makwanpur and eight males, 52-year-old of Udayapur, 72-year-old of Parsa, 45-year-old of Dhanusa, 55-year-old of Siraha, 83-year-old of Jhapa, 51-year old of Chitwan, 52-year-old of Kaski and 60-year-old of Rupandehi, who were infected with the novel coronavirus, died in the last 24 hours.

With this, the COVID-19 death toll of Nepal has reached 195 and the death rate stands at 0.53 per cent
