With 14 Fatalities, COVID-19 Death Toll Spikes To 271

Kathmandu, Sept. 4: The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) on Friday confirmed 14 COVID-19 related deaths.

Four females and 10 males succumbed to the virus infection in the last 24 hours, informed Dr. Jageshwor Gautam, spokesperson of the ministry, in the daily press briefing today.

Of the four females, three aged 82, 67 and 22 of Kathmandu and a 35-year-old of Chitwan and 10 males, two aged 55 each of Saptari, a 65-year-old of Dhanusa, a 31-year-old of Kaski, a 37-year-old of Nawalparasi, a 58-year-old of Pyuthan, a 78-year-old of Rupandehi, a 63-year-old of Palpa and a 42-year-old of Surkhet, who were infected with the novel coronavirus, died while receiving treatment at various health facilities across the nation.

With this, the COVID-19 death toll of Nepal has reached 271.
