Sindhupalchok, sept 13: Seven people died while at least 24 others have gone missing in a landslide at Dhumthang in Bahrabise Municipality Ward No. 7, Sindhupalchok, on Saturday night. At least 10 houses were buried in Bhirkharka and seven in Nagpuje.
“Six bodies were recovered from the incident site in Bhirkharka and another one in Nagpuje,” said Inspector Nawaraj Neupane of Area Police Office in Barhabise. “At least 19 others in Nagpuje and five in Bhirkharka are missing.”

Security personnel along with the locals are searching for the missing ones.
“However, the details of the incident are yet to come,” said Neupane.
Sindhupalchok has continued to get battered by natural disasters. In August, a massive landslide had struck Lidi village, destroying 17 houses and damaging 37 others. As many as 39 villagers perished and 135 families were displaced in the disaster.
