COVID-19 Update: 2,571 New Cases, Caseload 197,024, With 18 Fatalities Death Toll 1,126

Kathmandu, Nov. 9: With 2,571 new cases of novel coronavirus confirmed on Monday, Nepal’s COVID-19 tally has spiked to 197,024.

“In 11,177 Real-Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) tests done in the last 24 hours, as many as 2,531 persons were found with the SARS-CoV-2 infection in the last 24 hours,” informed the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) in its update.

Currently, there are 36,174 active cases of COVID-19 in the country.

Meanwhile, some 1,798 COVID-19 patients either receiving treatment in various health facilities or staying in home isolation recovered from the infection in the last 24 hours. With this, Nepal has recorded 159,724 cases of recoveries until now.

Moreover, 18 persons succumbed to the novel coronavirus infection in the last 24 hours. Nepal’s COVID-19 death toll has now reached 1,126
