Kathmandu, Nov, 20: The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) on Friday confirmed 1,945 new cases of COVID-19. The national COVID-19 tally has now reached 216,965.
“In 10,340 Real-Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) tests done in the last 24 hours, as many as 1,945 persons were found with the novel coronavirus infection,” said the MoHP in its daily update.
Currently, there are 24,665 active cases of COVID-19 and 753 persons, mostly those who had returned from abroad, are placed in quarantine.
Meanwhile, some 5,364 patients who were either receiving treatment in various institutional isolations or staying in home isolation recovered from the infection in the last 24 hours. Nepal has recorded 191,002 COVID-19 recoveries until now.
Moreover, 22 patients succumbed to the novel coronavirus infection in the last 24 hours taking the nation’s COVID-19 death toll to 1,298.
