Nepali Congress Organizing Nationwide Protests Today

Kathmandu, Dec 28: Nepali Congress (NC) is organizing a nationwide protest against the dissolution of the House of Representative (HoR) today.

President Bidhya Devi Bhandari dissolved the lower house and announced midterm election on the recommendation of Prime Minister K P Sharma Oli following intra-party row within Nepal Communist Party.

NC is staging protests today in all 165 election constituencies, stating the PM Oli’s move is unconstitutional.

The Janata Samajbadi Party, Pushpa Kamal Dahal and Madhav Kumar Nepal faction of NCP, along with other political parties and student unions have also been staging demonstrations and protests against the move of the Oli-led government.
