Nepal records 3,108 new cases, 1,595 recoveries and 25 deaths on Tuesday

KATHMANDU, July 20: Nepal recorded 3,108 new cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday along with 1,595 recoveries and 25 deaths.

According to the latest data from the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), 8,836 PCR tests and 4,299 antigen tests were conducted on Tuesday. Of them, 2,202 PCR tests and 906 antigen tests turned out to be positive for COVID-19.

So far, 9,607 people have succumbed to COVID-19 in Nepal.

There are a total of 23,834 COVID-19 patients in home isolation, 2,585 in institutional isolation, 592 in ICUs, and 172 on ventilators.

The Kathmandu Valley recorded 719 new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday – 531 in Kathmandu, 147 in Lalitpur and 41 in Bhaktapur districts.
