Police ascertain identity of all five people killed in Waling

Dumre, Waling, April 17: The identities of five people who died in a jeep accident in Waling, Syangja have been revealed.

The deceased have been identified as Bir Bahadur Dala Magar, 65, of Dandakharka in Waling Municipality-12, Hira Kumar Dala, 45, Sarmila Saru, 25, her seven-month-old son Gaurab Saru and Kul Kumari Kanuche, 61, of Waling Municipality-14.

The Mahindra Jeep (Ga 1 Ja 7399) heading towards Waling Municipality – 13, Banyatari from Waling – 12, Sirsekot met with an accident at Firfire of Waling municipality 12. The police said that four people have been killed on the spot and one child breathed his last on the way to the hospital.
Police Inspector Padam Raj Thapa has said that the critically injured six people have been sent to Garhaun Primary Hospital for treatment. According to him, three critically injured have been sent to Pokhara for further treatment.

The injured have been identified as Anga Bahadur Dala, 60, jeep driver Dal Bahadur Dala, 55, Mayakumari Saru, 55, Yogendra Thapa, 35, Laxmi Dala, 19, and Navina Saru, 18, according to the District Traffic Office, Syangja.

Witnesses have said that the jeep has fallen down about 100 meters. It has been said that 11 people travelled on the jeep.
