Kathmandu, June 1: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has assured of support from the government for the good works of the Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC).
Prime Minister Deuba, also the president of the Nepali Congress, said so during the meeting with KMC Mayor Balendra Shah.
KMC chief Shah reached Baluwatar to meet the Prime Minister on Wednesday.
According to the Prime Minister’s secretariat, Prime Minister Deuba, also the Nepal Congress president, assured KMC Mayor Shah of the government as well as Nepali Congress’s support for the good works of the KMC.
On the occasion, PM Deuba congratulated Shah on his election to the post of Mayor of the KMC in the recently held local poll.
On his part, Mayor Shah spoke of his desire to cooperate with the Nepali Congress for the development of the KMC.
