Kathmandu, June 1 (RSS): Chairperson of CPN (Maoist Centre) Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has directed the newly elected people’s representatives from his party to carry out works, showing party identity. He reminded that the party was weakened because the party ditched its identity.
Chairperson Prachanda said it during an orientation organized here for the newly elected ones from the party on Wednesday.
“In the past, the Maoist party leaders and cadres used to be together with people and assist them in need. But this trend is fast eroding,” he said, adding that Maoist party should retain its revolutionary identity and culture.
As the difference between the Maoist party and parliamentary parties was getting blurred these days, people have thought that Maoist party is no more revolutionary, according to him.
Chairperson Prachanda emphasized that the Maoist party must make the 122 local levels where it won the model ones. Maoist identity should be established as the party that spurs development, serves people and builds socialism.
Moreover, he observed that present situation is the opportunity with challenges. The economic transformation can be realized by linking labour to production, he viewed.
On the occasion, leader Narayan Kaji Shrestha said local level governments could play important role to boost production, achieve socio-economic progress and set up socialism. “Radical change is imperative in education and health sectors,” he underscored.
