171 new cases, 2 deaths in 24 hrs

Kathmandu, April 18: As many as 171 new cases (RT-PCR and antigen tests combined) of COVID-19 have been confirmed on Tuesday while 85 people recovered from the disease.

Two deaths related to COVID-19 were also reported in the last twenty four hours.

A total of 2,292 people’s sample were tested for the virus infection in the period, according to the Ministry of Health and Population.

Of the total, 105 cases were confirmed through RT-PCT test while 66 cases were identified through antigen tests.

The active caseload of COVID-19 across the country has reached 397.

A total of 22 patients of COVID-19 are in organizational isolation in the Kathmandu Valley, and of them eight are placed in ICU and four in ventilator treatment.
