Nepal to observe national mourning over deaths of Nepalis in Israel

Kathmandu, Oct. 9: The government has decided to observe national mourning on Tuesday over the deaths of Nepalis in Israel.

A cabinet meeting on Monday decided to observe national mourning for Tuesday.

The government has also decided to lower the Nepali national flag to half-mast on the day of national mourning.

Spokesperson of the government and Minister for Communication and Information Technology Rekha Sharma informed that the cabinet meeting decided to give a compensation of Rs 1 million each to the families who lost their lives in the Israel attack.

So far, 10 Nepali students are said to have been killed in the attack in Israel by Hamas on Saturday morning.
