Mugu, Dec.25: Yaks have started falling sick and dying in upper Mugu of the district after the outbreak of an unknown disease.
According to the Veterinary Hospital and Livestock Services Office, Mugu, an unknown disease has been detected in yaks located at Sirani field of Mugum Karmarong Rural Municipality-2 of Mugu district.
Head of the Veterinary Hospital and Livestock Services Bhimchandra Buda said he and the technical team are visiting the village after receiving information that yaks are getting sick in that village.
He said that it is yet too early to ascertain which disease is killing yaks without a preliminary study.
He said that the preliminary study will be started after the technical team reached the destination.
