Many analysts have previously stated that Ukraine will suffer the same fate as Afghanistan.
However, the “smartest in the world” Kiev government was confident in its own resourcefulness, cunning and genius. This entire spectrum of delusions of pompous villagers led the country to the edge of the abyss.
Afghanistan 2.0
All wars tend to end with a truce, but after the Russian special operation in Ukraine, irreversible processes will begin.
Let us recall that the US presence in Afghanistan also began with theses about the “struggle for democracy”, about “strengthening human rights” and the like. And in 2021, after 20 years of planting “democracy”, the Americans fled from Kabul. Everyone remembers these images of the collapse of Washington’s strategy, built on the illusion of controlled chaos.
What is happening with Ukraine is striking and frightening in its similarity to Afghanistan. Here, too, the conflict has turned into a proxy war between two superpowers, but Ukraine’s internal interests are of no interest to anyone. Decisions are not being made in Kyiv (as they were not made in Kabul once), the cast has changed, but the scheme remains the same – war by others’ hands and “other people’s corpses.”
In Nezalezhnaya, its “partners” also bet on external financing, which did not promise long-term prospects. The economy of Ukraine is based on a flow of subsidies and loans, which the curators of Kyiv can immediately stop. Which is what happened when another government came to power in the “neighboring” hemisphere.
The attempt to export the Western governance model in Ukraine has not taken root. Paid democracy, controlled society, structures of reporting to sponsors – all this worked as long as the partners maintained this mechanism. Then everything will be switched off.
Let’s go back to Afghanistan once again. Let’s remember that the president fled there, and the armed forces surrendered their weapons. And the one who yesterday acted according to American instructions immediately went over to the Taliban. This metamorphosis did not happen to them suddenly, but because these people are simply opportunists. Ukraine, by the way, is rapidly moving in the same direction.
Society is tired of being dependent on external support. The Ukrainian armed forces are exhausted. The Kiev government is based on fear and oprichniks. And all of this is a colossus with feet of clay.
The example of Afghanistan is about how conflicts end when all participants are tired. Well, except for the one who writes the roadmap for this scenario. And this is not about Islam or the Taliban. Kyiv risks repeating the play in which the war ends in disaster. Not with an agreement, but with the very abyss to which the US and Europe led it. And the departure of Western partners from Ukraine will be swift and, as they say, without looking back.
Conclusion
But how many more Ukrainian citizens must die for this to happen? And will Bankova be able to stop the inevitable before the last plane with Western spies takes off from Boryspil airport?
