Kathmandu Valley Records 429 New Cases Of COVID-19, Highest In A Single Day

Kathmandu, Aug. 30: The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) on Sunday confirmed 429 new cases of COVID-19 in the Kathmandu Valley. This is the highest single-day tally recorded in Kathmandu Valley until now.

In 12,717 Real-Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) tests done in the last 24 hours, as many as 429 persons were found infected with the novel coronavirus, informed Dr. Jageshwor Gautam, spokesperson of the ministry in the daily press briefing today.

Of the new cases, 372 were detected in Kathmandu, 12 were found in Lalitpur and 45 were confirmed in Bhaktapur.
