Kathmandu, Jan 15: Ethnic communities such as Magars and Tharus celebrated Maghi that falls on the first day of Nepali month of Magh on Wednesday.
Tharus marked Maghi and Magars aghe Sakranti across the country today.
The festival is also celebrated by other Hindu communities by taking holy bath in rivers and eating special dishes.
Clad in traditional dress, they gathered at Khula Mancha of Kathmandu. Various cultural glimpses featured the gathering.
