
By Basant Parajuli, Chitwan, April 25: A 27-year old COVID-19 male patient has been discharged from Bharatpur hospital after recovery.
The hospital discharged him after his latest two consecutive swab tests came out negative for the virus.
Dr. Bhoj Raj Adhikari, Chairman of the hospital, said that the discharged person was staying in the hospital for taking care of his mother who is also receiving treatment for COVID-19.
The mother, 63, and son had tested positive for COVID-19 positive in Rapid Diagnostic Test carried out on April 15 and their swab test had also confirmed them being positive for the virus on April 17.
They both were kept in isolation in the hospital for treatment.
Although the son has been found free from infection, the mother still has the disease.
Health condition of the mother is normal, according to the hospital.
Permanent resident of ward 8 of Rapti Municipality in Chitwan district, the mother and the son had arrived in Nepal on March 16 from the UK via Hong Kong.
