Kathmandu Valley Records 445 New Cases Of COVID-19

Kathmandu, Sept. 3: The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) on Thursday confirmed 445 new cases of COVID-19 in the Kathmandu Valley.

In 13,413 Real-Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) tests done in the last 24 hours, as many as 445 persons were found to be infected with the novel coronavirus in the Valley, informed Dr. Jageshwor Gautam, spokesperson of the ministry in the daily press briefing today.

Of the new cases, 357 were detected in Kathmandu, 42 were detected in Bhaktapur and 46 were detected in Lalitpur.

Moreover, some 1,228 cases of COVID-19 were recorded across the nation on Thursday, taking the national tally to 42,877 including 24,207 cases of recovery and 257 death cases.
