Kathmandu, Oct. 11: Minister for Education, Science and Technology Giriraj Mani Pokharel has tested positive for COVID-19.
After suffering from high fever, he was admitted to the Patan Hospital on Saturday night. “His Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) test report revealed that he was infected with the novel coronavirus,” informed Sunil Khadka, press advisor to minister Pokharel.
Khadka said that his health condition was improving.
Prior to this, Yogesh Bhattarai, Minister for Culture Tourism and Civil Aviation had also tested positive for COVID-19 on Saturday.
