
KATHMANDU, August 29: Chairman of the CPN (Unified Socialist) has been elected the parliamentary party (PP) leader of the newly-formed party.
A PP meeting held earlier on Sunday elected Nepal to the post of parliamentary party leader unanimously.
With Nepal’s election to the PP leader, the party is expected to get its chief whip, whip and other leaders.
Earlier last week, Madhav Kumar Nepal registered a new political party named CPN (Unified Socialist), after parting ways with the CPN-UML.
Nepal has said that his party won’t unify with any other political party. He said that the party won’t unify with any other political party any time soon.
Nepal also refuted media reports that CPN (Unified Socialist) is unifying with other parties. “Such reports are wrong,” he said.
Chairman Nepal also stated that the party will give prominent responsibilities to youths and help the general public to come out of poverty.
Nepal was also elected the PP leader of the party unanimously earlier on Sunday.
