Kathmandu, Jan. 29: Representatives of both the factions of the Nepal Communist Party have reached Election Commission for discussions.
The representatives of the Prachanda-Nepal led faction have already completed their discussions with the EC officials while meeting between the EC officials and representatives of the Oli-led faction is still underway.
Former speaker of the House of Representatives Subash Nembang, Finance Minister Bishnu Poudel, legal advisor to the Prime Minister Baburam Dahal, Minister Krishna Gopal Shrestha, and Rameshwar Phuyal from the Prime Minister’s faction attended the meeting.
Likewise, from Prachanda-Nepal’s faction, leaders Rajendra Pandey, Lilamani Pokjarel and Mukti Pradhan were present in the commission.
Stating that Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ and Madhav Kumar Nepal both were out of the valley, the representatives informed the EC that Prachanda and Nepal themselves would visit the commission after January 31.
Likewise, leader Rajendra Pandey said, “We have suggested the commission to not take the procedures of registration of new party forward until the intra-party feud of NCP is resolved.”
