Westerly Low Pressure Area Causes Light Rain And Snowfall


Kathmandu, Feb. 6: Nepal has witnessed the light to moderate rain across the country on Saturday. Similarly, incidents of snowfall have been recorded in some mid hills and mostly mountainous areas.

According to Meteorological Forecasting Division(MFD), currently westerly low pressure area is being active throughout the country. MFD recorded 5.7 mm rainfall in Lumle, 3.9 mm in Jumla, 1.2 mm in Kathmandu, 0.5 mm in Dadeldhura, 0.4 mm in Jiri and 0.1 mm in Birendranagar.

MFD predicted that there will be partly cloudy weather in the hilly regions of the country and mainly fair in the rest of the country.
