112 News Cases Of COVID-19, 54 Recovered In Last 24 Hours

Kathmandu, Feb. 26: The Ministry of Health and Population on Friday confirmed 112 new cases of COVID-19, taking the nation’s novel coronavirus tally to 273,984.

“In 3,944 Real-Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) tests done in the last 24 hours, 112 persons were found infected with SARS-CoV-2,” informed the Ministry of Health and Population in its regular update.

Currently, there are 936 active cases of COVID-19. Likewise, a total of 71 people, mostly those who had returned from abroad are placed in quarantine across the nation.

Meanwhile, 54 COVID-19 patients receiving treatment in institutional isolation or staying in home isolation recovered from the infection in the last 24 hours. Nepal has now recorded 270,277 cases of recovery and the recovery rate is at 98.7 percent.

Moreover, four fatalities related to COVID-19 were confirmed in Nepal in the last 24 hours. The COVID-19 death toll is 2,771.
