HoR meeting for the first time after its reinstatement today

KATHMANDU, July 18: A meeting of the House of Representatives is scheduled for today after the Supreme Court reinstated it. President Bidya Devi Bhandari on the recommendation of the government, has called the parliamentary session for 4.00 PM today at the parliament building in New Baneshwor.

Speaker Agni Sapkota is scheduled to read out a letter from the President’s Office for convening the meeting of the House of Representatives at the beginning of the meeting.

The Supreme Court on July 12 ruled that the president’s earlier decision was unconstitutional and reinstated the HoR. Executing the July 12 decision, the HoR has been reinstated and a new government has been formed under the leadership of Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba.
