CCMCC Recommends Closing Schools Till Jan 29

Kathmandu, Jan. 9: The meeting of the COVID-19 Crisis Management Coordination Center (CCMCC) on Sunday recommended to shut down schools till January 29, informed CCMCC spokesperson Sunita Nepal.

The government will, however, make the final decision on whether to close or not the schools.

Deepak Sharma, spokesperson of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, said that the government would take decisions on the matter after the letter of recommendation from the CCMCC is received.

Spokesperson Nepal added that the CCMCC also decided to write to the Home Ministry to ban any gathering of people over 25 in number in any excuse in any public spaces until further notice.
