55 new cases in 24 hrs, active cases reach near 400

Kathmandu, April 9: 55 new cases (RT-PCR and antigen tests combined) of COVID-19 have been confirmed on Sunday while 11 people recovered from the disease.

In 671 Real-Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) tests done in the past 24 hours, 50 people were found infected with SARS-CoV-2, informed the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) in its regular update on Sunday. Whereas, five positive cases were found in 545 Antigen tests in the last 24 hours.

Currently, there are 396 active cases of COVID-19 across the nation.

So far, 12,020 people have lost their lives due to COVID-19 in Nepal.
