SC’s order to not provide money to disqualified Maoist combatants

Kathmandu, May 16 : The Supreme Court (SC) has issued an interlocutory order to the government, asking it to not provide Rs 200 thousand to each disqualified Maoist combatant.

A single bench of Justice Kumar Regmi issued the order to this regard on Tuesday.

Advocates including Gyanendra Aran had filed a writ petition at SC against government’s decision to provide Rs 200 thousand to each disqualified Maoist combatant. The SC has also sought a written response from the government and ordered for discussion with both sides. (RSS)
