Kathmandu, Mar.1: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ said that Bharatpur Metropolitan City is being developed as a new ‘hub’ in the health sector.
Inaugurating the new building of the Eye Hospital built at Bharatpur, Chitwan, on Friday morning, PM Prachanda said, “The Bharatpur Eye Hospital is being established as a center for eye treatment not only for the locals of the Bharatpur but on a national level and abroad as well.”
The PM said the present government was active in ensuring constitutionally guaranteed health-related rights into practice.
The PM shared that effective implementation of the health insurance programme, free vaccine against breast cancer and uterus cancer, and other initiatives have been brought into practice and expressed the confidence that the health sector would witness a massive reform through these efforts.
Likewise, the PM pledged to allocate the maximum possible budget in the health sector in the upcoming budget.
With the development of the new building, the PM expressed his confidence that the hospital’s quality and quantity of its services would further expand in the coming days. “With the development of physical infrastructure, the hospital’s services, research and health training should be upgraded to the same degree,” PM Prachanda added.
On the occasion, the PM pledged to provide support and facilitation on behalf of the federal government.
During the programme, Pakistani Ambassador to Nepal Abrar H Hashmi said that cooperation between Nepal and Pakistan would be continued in the future for the better of the Bharatpur Eye Hospital. (RSS)
