Four Indians held with pistol


Kanchanpur, Jan 23: The District Police Office, Kanchanpur on Wednesday night apprehended four Indian nationals for possession of a pistol.

Police intervened a car with an Indian number plate along the East West Highway near Aithpur of Bhimdutta municipality-6 and confiscated the arm. The four were traveling in the same vehicle and the pistol was found concealed inside the backseat pocket, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police, Umesh Raj Joshi.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Sanjay Jethi (32), Jivan Singh (34), Komal Bist (32), and Umed Singh Adhikari (34).

Prior to the arrest, authorities had received a tip-off that the Indian nationals were traveling with the firearm. (RSS)
