
Kathmandu, Aug. 1: Prime Minister Balendra Shah has expressed grief over the death of mountaineers including world record holder Nirmal Purja in the course of scaling the Broad Peak in Pakistan.
PM Shah has stated that he was saddened by the information about the tragic death in avalanche of six Nepali mountaineers including Purja (Purab Bahadur Gurung, Nima Sherpa, Kili Pemba Sherpa, Gyalu Sherpa and Nawang Thindu Sherpa) and four foreigners.
Extending heartfelt tribute to the deceased mountaineers, PM Shah has expressed condolences to the bereaved familie.
In his social media account, the PM said that the mountaineers courage, devotion and contribution would remain as a source of inspiration.
