Kathmandu, Mar. 30: The Election Commission, Nepal, has made a provision for the candidate in the local level election to make self-declaration about the authenticity of their documents, eligibility to file nomination, and commitment to follow the election code of conduct.
The candidates will be responsible for their self-declaration.
According to the statement issued by EC spokesperson Shaligram Sharma Paudel, the EC has also introduced Local Level Election Guidelines, 2079.
The candidates should make a 19-point self-declaration on issues as specified by the EC.
