Kathmandu Valley Records 200 New Cases Of COVID-19

Kathmandu, Aug. 20: The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) has confirmed 200 new cases of COVID-19 in Kathmandu Valley today.

In 11,832 Real-Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) tests done in the last 24 hours, as many as 200 persons were found with the virus infection in the Valley itself, informed Dr. Jageshwor Gautam, spokesperson of the ministry in the daily press briefing today.

Of the 200 new cases of virus infection, 174 were detected in Kathmandu, 18 were detected in Lalitpur and eight were detected in Bhaktapur.

Moreover, some 707 cases were recorded across the nation on Thursday, taking the national tally to 29,645 including 17,964 cases of recovery and 126 death cases.
